Defying the odds, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) Wizards stunned the top-seeded College of Agriculture (COA) Reapers, claiming a decisive 3-1 victory in their do-or-die match after rising from the lower bracket and securing the women's three-man darts finals title at the University Gymnasium on October 11.
Wizards’ Elviemae Cadungog, the leg’s hero, delivered the decisive double four in the final face-off, which sealed them the triumph. In an interview, Cadungog shared, "It took me a while to realize I hit the double four. From 8 AM until now, we've been playing non-stop," as she reflected on her game-winning throw.

The CNSM, before facing rival COA, rallied with their sheer determination and resilience, squeezing past the College of Engineering ASTEEGS in the semi-finals of the loser’s bracket to give themselves a chance for a title finish.
However, the Reapers, upholding their twice-to-beat advantage, had their eyes set on the crown. Yet, the Wizards, responding to their rallying cry, came out strong in the match, tallying a 3-0 victory against COA in their first game, which forced an all-or-nothing showdown.
Maintaining their momentum once again, the CNSM immediately bagged the first match with their precise high-digit board hits, cracking up first the second game’s tally board, 1-0.
The Reapers did not want the gap to bleed up more, as they aced the second match, deadlocking the Wizards to one.
Meanwhile, the CNSM, who are fueled by their burning desire to make a name for themselves, never let go of the remaining two sets, with a clutch double four ending for Cadungog in their third face-off, stunning the COA’s hope for the title.
Cadungog's teammates, Ail Santibaynes and Sarah Dequito, also played pivotal roles throughout the tournament, consistently delivering under pressure and contributing to their well-earned triumph. Cadungog expressed her joy, saying, "I'm overwhelmed and thrilled that all our hard work paid off, from practicing every day and night."
With the Wizards' flourishing in the Women's Three-Man Category, the Reapers are now forced to take silver, with the ASTEEGS claiming bronze.
Currently, the Doubles Category for both men and women are being held at the physical education left-wing rooms one and two with every team eyeing for another chance to a podi finish.
