Securing victory, Dax Dylan Perez of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) Vanguards bagged back-to-back wins in the Men's Division Taekwondo over 87 kg category, overpowering the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Wizard Vince Feman Jose Delosa at the University Gymnasium on October 15.

Vanguard Perez prevailed in the first round, launching an assault of kicks to take on a commanding 16-10 lead, which continued in the second round as he unleashed his relentless attacks, shutting out Delosa from the Wizards with a 6-0 finish, securing CSSH's fourth gold in the men's division.
Adding to their haul, Carlo Nicanor claimed silver in the under 54 kg category, further boosting CSSH's medal tally. With these crucial wins, CSSH dethroned the defending champions, ASTEEGS, in the overall men's division as the Mentors settled for third place.
Meanwhile, in the women's sector, the College of Engineering ASTEEGS claimed the overall championship with three golds and two bronzes, followed by the College of Education with two golds and three bronzes, with the CSSH taking with one gold, three silvers, and two bronzes.
ASTEEGS’ Daniel Gumimba hailed as the overall MVP in the men's category, while Kirstel Dayne Bombita of the Wizards took the honor in the women's category.
