In a close battle, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) Vanguards stepped into the pinnacle as they took the victory in the Hip-hop Competition during the Dance Night last October 11.
Chedicka Yvonne Europa, a third-year BAELS student and one of Vanguards' winning dancers, became emotional as she described their performance entering the event.

"Among sayaw is hindi siya yung typical na hip-hop. Feel nako ang advantage namo is naa mi flavor na ginahatag jud. Well-thought siya na concept and very creative and flavorful siya na sayaw," Europa said.
She stressed that her team was so proud of themselves as they believed that they deserve this title.
"Although daghan struggles, daghan nag-arise na problems—financial, time; nakaya namo and na pull off namo ang gusto sa among coach ug sa among sarili. I'm so proud na na-deliver namo among gusto," Europa added.
The results of the tournament were under deliberation but eventually, the judges retained the names of the champions and runners-up.
College of Education Mentors, who were last year's second runner-up in the event, took the first runner-up place, followed by Senior High School Legends as the second, the defending champion College of Engineering Asteegs at third, College of Business Administration and Accountancy Tycoons at fourth, the last year's first runner-up College of Fisheries Anglers at 5th, College of Agriculture Reapers at 6th, and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Wizards at 7th.
On the other hand, Jaylord Diaz, a 2nd year student and dancer from the crowd-favorite Anglers, was thankful for the cheers from the audience after their performance.
"Na boost jud among confidence sa stage especially sa among performance—mas na level pa namo ganiha to the highest. Daghan kaayong salamat sa ilaha jud." Diaz said.
