Pushed at the edge of their arsenal, the College of Agriculture Reapers clinched the gold in men's volleyball, displaying exceptional athleticism and resilience against the College of Business Administration and Accountancy Tycoons, where they steer down multiple deadlocks to secure a 3-1 victory at the University Open Court on October 14.

Starting with a huge role for the Reapers, Team Captain Slynder Miles Romero banked a spectacular dimension of attacks from his kill blocks, smart drop shots, to heavy serves in his farewell game, catapulting himself as the Best Middle Blocker and the new Most Valuable Player (MVP).
"I'm very happy because for my last six year here in MSU, hindi ko gina expect na makuha ko ang MVP and I'm thankful not just for myself but for my team most especially," Reapers' team captain Slynder Miles Romero expressed after being called as the new MVP in this year's men's volleyball competition .
The Reapers got out to an early lead in the match after refuting the confidence of the Tycoons to set off a great start where they buried the score to an 8-point inch, owning their first set advantage, 1-0 (25-13).
Investing on their signature combination play, COA sauntered into the sequel of the game in the second set, which manifested their aggressiveness as they took a five-point gap, 17-12, dropping the baggage to the Tycoons.
The CBAA managed to control the tempo of the match as they closed the gap and were able to save two setpoints in the second set, however, the kill block of Romero was efficient for the Reapers to capture their second set win, 2-0 (26-24).
Back and forth they go as the trade of attack after attack was shown in the third frame, showcasing a real finals match with an impressive 12 deadlocks which intensified the game in front of the volleyball aficionados.
With the hope of extending the match, the Tycoons continued to keep their composure and patience as they sneaked three set points and eventually had a last-minute miracle after the attack error of Reapers followed by their win spike, 2-1 (26-28), stretching the game into four sets.
Recovering from a near championship set victory, the Reapers wasted no time showcasing their unstoppable offensive prowess, spearheaded by best opposite spiker Allie Castillo and the dynamic duo of Jed Tejas and Slynder Romero in the middle, they maintained a comfortable 16-10 lead.
Towards the latter part of the match, the COA were so determined to not push the game into a do-or-die fifth set as they vanquished the defense of the Tycoons causing them to commit unforced errors and release their championship spikes which hailed them as the new champs of the men's volleyball, 3-1 (25-20).
Making a triumphant comeback after their beach volleyball finals defeat, the Reapers reversed their fortunes in men's volleyball, securing the championship title against the Tycoons.
