After the organization was not recognized by the Office of Student Affairs, the Physical Education Students’ Organization (PESO) rolled out the refund of the 80 peso fee on Wednesdays starting February 28 until March 13, 2024, which was collected last semester.

“So it was on February 26 that our chairperson announced or gave a memo for the refund of PESO fee that was collected last semester. So, this PESO fee is worth P80 and this will be given to the students na enrolled last semester, na nakabayad din ng PESO fee,” Ma’am Jessel Gay Wacan stressed in an interview.

She emphasized that according to the update from Sir Jay Carlo Bagayas, chairperson of the physical education department, they were given schedules to give the refund, wherein on February 28, they will cater to students from COE, COA, and CNSM.

Moreover, on March 6, the department will release the refund to CSSH and COED students in the morning, while in the afternoon, they will cater to COF and CBAA students.

“So, these are probably binibigay namin ‘yung schedule na time for students na may hard copy talaga ng resibo because the receipt is very important for us to account everyone na nakabayad ng PESO fee,” Wacan explained, noting that a receipt is needed to claim the refund, whether digital or hard copy.

However, for those students who lost or did not have a copy of their receipt, they must go on March 13 since the department needs to verify their names on the copy of receipts that they had.

Meanwhile, the venue for releasing refunds is the PE Office and other rooms around MSU Gymnasium, but there is a chance it will be held inside the gym depending on its availability.

Furthermore, they will also cater to the CBPs who were not able to claim their refund.

“Kasi the PESO officers last time, before they were not recognized, nag rerefund sila. So still, ‘yung mga CBPs na hindi naka claim, pwede pa nilang i-claim lahat. Kahit na nawala yung resibo nila kasi we have the copies, naman din,” she said.

“It is preferred to bring 20 pesos; para ‘yung 100 pesos, madali lang namin [mabigyan] ng change. Kasi nga, no exact amount kami, kasi big bills na ‘yung meron,” she announced for easy money change.
