In the vibrant celebration of Mindanao State University General Santos' 50th Foundation Anniversary and Intramurals, we dive into the heart of the festivity through the eyes of two individuals: Kyle Inocelda, a first-year student from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy, and a spirited barista from BrewKen, one of the coffee stalls adding to the flavor of the occasion.
"Nacater talaga nila ang mga estudyante kasi more on pastil lang talaga tayo dito." (They really catered to all students because we are more fond of pastil here.) Kyle noted with enthusiasm.
Indeed, pastil runs in our blood! Yet endulging in new delicacies have made him paint a vivid picture of the excitement coursing through MSUans as they explore diverse food stalls offering an array of rice meals, beverages, and delectable snacks. The anticipation is palpable, and Kyle notes with enthusiasm that even before the official commencement of Intramurals, the food stalls had already set up shop. The vendors, much like the students, are bubbling with anticipation, creating a prelude of delights.
Intriguingly, the barista mentions, "This place is truly unique; it welcomes outsiders to witness its Intramurals unlike other schools." Overwhelmed by the experience, the barista expresses a strong desire to return next year, ensuring that the connection forged between BrewKen and MSU remains a lasting one.
As MSU General Santos marks its milestone, the celebration goes beyond the sports arena and permeates the air with the aroma of diverse cuisines and the warmth of a welcoming community.
